CASE STUDY

National Geological Survey Programme

Client: Xcalibur Airborne Geophysics
End Client: Government of the Republic of Zambia – Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development
Duration: 5 Years

Niner Juliet Logistics was selected as the Zambian aviation support partner for Xcalibur Airborne Geophysics during the Government of Zambia's nationwide high-resolution airborne geophysical survey. The programme forms part of the Government's strategy to modernise the country's geological database, unlock Zambia's mineral potential, and attract investment into the mining sector through the collection of high-resolution airborne geophysical data.

The Challenge

Executing a nationwide airborne survey required continuous aviation support across multiple provinces, often from remote airstrips with limited infrastructure. Aircraft availability, fuel logistics, regulatory compliance, crew movements, accommodation and ground transport all had to be coordinated to maintain an efficient flying programme while minimising operational downtime.
